FRIAR PICNIC- I think I found out the reason why we could not rent the Pavillion for our Picnic. The Ryder Cup was being held at Bethpage State Park. So I’m sure this is the reason. They were not taking any reservations for the month of September. We are already coming up with dates for next year so we will schedule a date for next September!

FRIAR AND SISTER DONATIONS- These donations have been decreasing for the past 5 months. If you haven’t been giving for food for the Friars could I ask you to start again. Donations are off by almost $2,000 so its significant. I’ve been covering itt myself. Also if you know of anyone that would like to also be a FRIAR SUPPLIER, please let me know and ill send them a “FRIAR NEW” letter.

HAITI BREAKFAST PROGRAM IN SCHOOL- Last March I talked about feeding the kids in Our Lay of Fatima breakfast each day it has taken me 6 months but I’ve secured enough money to do this, The cost for the year is $81,000 to feed all 750 kids a peanut butter sandwich along with a drink either water or juice. We talked about doing SPAM once a week but that would of added $500 per month or $6,000 to the program so we decided that we would not do it, We have 8 families total that are funding this program. They have given me the money for the year in total. I opened a separate checking account so that each month when I send money to Haiti I can transfer it out of the account. When we first started planning this program the school had 535 students but because if the Civil unrest Br Guiva the principal decided to add another 250 students so that they get an education and stay out of the gangs! Can you imagine 10-11-2 year old joining gangs just so they can hsave a GUN! For me this is mind-blowing!!

TEENS IN GANGS IN HAITI- Can you imagine giving a 10 year ol a gun just so they can go KILL!. The gangs are desperate for members so now they are offering teen food and a GUN to join them! I haven’t been sleeping and think that we have to do something But what?. In talking to my team in Haiti we came up with a list of things we would have to-do to LURE them out of the gangs, First we have to give them a place to live. FRIAR SUPPLIERS could rent a house for 7 teens for about $1,000 per YEAR not month. All rents are paid by the year. The house is nice and even have running water, kitchen, bathroom and electric! We would have to send them to school and then to a trade school where they could learn a trade. Most of the trade school are from 8- 12 months. It includes, auto mechanic, plumbing, ceramic tile installer, carpenter, communications, . They would receive 3 meals per day. Electrician, and cabinet worker just to name a few. The average cost is $2,300 PER YEAR. This is not bad to keep someone out of the gang and to train them in a skill that they could earn a living. My requirement is that Sunday Mass is Mandatory if you miss your out of MY PROGRAM- PERIOD! I have never concentrated on Education at all because of the expense but my mind is changing,. Id love to hear your feedback on what im talking about. Every NOVEMBER I start begging for our annual trip in January so im thinking that this would be our project. Ill have more info next months with all the different programs that we could do that are near to Riviere Friode where we work. So pray about it!!

THE GANGS ARE MERCILESS!- Last week I got a WhatsApp message from someone has worked for me for almost 20 years in our garden. He told me that his brother was walking down a road to go buy food,. All of a sudden someone came up behind him and put a potato sack over his head and pushed him inro a truck/ they brought him to an undisclosed place. Took the sack off his heads and started to beat him up for hors!! They then took a video of him and sent it to his family. They wanted $500.00 or they would kill him! Vincent just asked me for prayers nothing more! He had $250.00 in the bank because both him and his wife works for FRIAR SUPPLIERS.I prayed as to what do and I sent this video to a Friend of mine who has come to Haiti with me and he instantly ask how he could help. I told him about the ransom demands and after seeing the video I knew he was going to need to go to the hospital so we instantly wired $600 for the $500 ransom plus $100 top go to the hospiyal. As of the writing he is still in the hospital. If you want I could send you the video I just need your email address.
