July 2026 Newsletter

FRIAR SUPPLIER PICNIC—SUNDAY  SEPTEMBER 20 IS OUR ANNUAL PICNIC. It will be at Bethpage State Park in the BLUEBIRD Pavilion. It is Rain or Shine. Because we have a Pavilion it can be rain or shine. In our September Newsletter we will talk all about it. All the Friars and Sisters will be there. You will get to meet the new class of Postulants who are joining. So pleases mark your calender. Bring your whole family.

OUR PROGRAMS- I’m sorry to say that because of dwindling donations I’ve had to cancel some of our programs. Our most important programs- the peanut butter program, the garden and Fr Judes Mass program were funded this month. I had enough to do the garden program, the peanut butter program and  Fr Judes Masses are self sustaining so it survived the cut.  The Blind, the orphanage, our $600 donation to the Little Brothers of St Therese, Our rent for our offices for the year was due. That is $4,000. For the year. I had to send to Haiti a total of $39,650 for the month of June! That’s a lot of money. I thank you for all that money. I couldn’t do it without you. 

But if you haven’t sent anything in a couple months now would be the time to help me. Next month my bill is only $11,985 and I have about $3,500 in our bank account. Fr Benedict Groeschel always told me to not worry about money so I usually let him worry about it! But I do not like cutting programs because ALL of our programs were instituted by Fr Benedict. I’m hoping with your help I can add the programs back into our budget.

Peanut butter program- school is out for the summer but we continue this program every morning on the school grounds, the kids are used to getting a sandwich so they come to school and get a sandwich. We usually have extra so we give those to the elderly. The elderly know that during the summer months they come early and wait patiently on lines to get a sandwich.

Fr Judes masses—he prays for all of you every day. He thanks me constantly for all your Masses. He looks forward to all the mass stipend money. He is very dependent on your Masses so I’m thanking you in advance and especially for the Gregorian Masses. You feed him every day!
