FUNDRAISING CONVENTION-

I can’t thank you enough for allowing me to go. I learned some new ways to beg for Gods poor. There were 60 people total in attendance from all over the US. 57 Protestants and 3 Catholics. Protestants do there fundraising VERY DIFFERENT than the way I do it., They actually tell you how much to give. I could NEVER do that. Its not my style.

But I know the reason God sent me. There were 2 men from Texas that drove to NC. I just felt that I should talk to them. They were filled with the Holy Spirit and each had different missions, The first night I invited them to come to dinner with my friends Salem and Mike. At first they said no but I then said it was my treat. They then accepted. I found out that they had driven from Texas to the fundraiser on a wing and a prayer. Between them they only had $38.00 between them. They had no money for food. During the lunch and snack breaks they told me they took an extra meal and filled there knapsack with snacks for the long ride home. I don’t carry a lot of cash but I had $110.00 that I gave to them. Before they left I filled there car with gas on my credit card. I wished them well. When they got home they said they made it home with the money I gave them So I Thank all of you for your donation to go to this! God always seems to tell me who to help!

Also with PAYPAL we have noticed a growing number of PAY PAL donors who are including the fee with their donation so that we get 100% Plus, it makes it easier for budgeting. So thanks, if you are one of our donors who pays the fee each month! It doesn’t cost you much, but it really helps FRIAR SUPPLIERRS.

MASS INTENTIONS- Fr Jude is so grateful for all your Mass intentions. It helps him eat and he buys food fior his parishioners. But as Fr Judes secretary I need a HUGE Favor,. When sending in name for Mass intentions could you please PRINT! There are times I just can’t read your handwriting. So I’m sure there are times that I make a mistake and don’t Print it too small! I’m 73 years old and my eye sight is not what it was when I was 30.

POINSETTIAS FOR FRIARs- For the 31 years we have been in existence at Christmas and Easter we always supply the Friars and Sisters with Poinsettias. For both The Friari and Convents but also for St Adelbert’s Church where they both gather for Christmas. In early December I bring 6 small poinsettias for their residences and then we buy about 100 small medium and large plants. It always looks beautiful. Because I owned a Florist, I have a license and can still get the plants wholesale which saves us a huge amount of money., So thank you in advance for making Jesus’s birthplace looks so beautiful.!

HURRICANE MELLISSA- Thanks to your prayers Hurricane Melissa did very little damage in our little town. The winds were strong and tree limbs came down but just some labor and the town was back in shape in 2 days so thanks so much!

ARISTEDE'S WIFE- Your absolutely overwhelming generosity is beyond, Not only did you repay Aristedes loan to Friar Suppliers but you covered all the treatment bills from now until April. If she does end up needing surgery which I pray she doesn’t I put the balance in a separate account vto help pay the bill!

When I called Aristede to tell him to schedule ALL her appointments he broke down in tears! He had been hoping maybe that Friar Suppliers would pay one or two treatments but not all . And the fact that you repaid his loan he was just so thankful because it lifted such a heavy weight from his shoulders.

VINCENT'S BROTHER – If you remember I talked about Pierre who was kidnapped by the gang and beat so bad that he has 6 broken ribs and marks all over his body! Thanks to a very generous donor who is paying his medical bills, medicine and physical therapy he has started to feel better., He is so thankful. He keeps sending me messages asking what he did to deserve such attention. I tiold him its his reward for his brother working so hard for Friar Suppliers and for his Faith! He started to cry! So thanks for your help.

CATHOLIC SCHOOL PEANUT BUTTER DRIVE- So yesterday I mailed out 78 letters to all the elementry schools in the Diocese of Rockville Centre. I am asking the students if they could do a peanut butter drive for our program in Haiti. Every day we use 50 jars of peanut butter so that’s 250 jars a week or 1,000 per month. This way it cuts down on the amount of peanut butter I have to BUY with YOUR money in Haiti!

Every morning when I say my prayers I ALWAYS pray for all you, Friar Suppliers because without you I can't do anything.
