“2026 DOESN’T LIKE ME SO FAR—DO YOU?’

On December 20th I came down with the Flu. It lasted until December 29. So I missed Christmas. I'm a real Christmas person. I couldn’t even go to my son, Shaun’s house because I was so sick. Then on New Years Eve I had a seizure and ended up in Good Sam Hospital for 5 Days. That was traumatic. I was totally out of it. Then to make matters worse the Doctors told me I could not drive for a YEAR! So now I went into depression. My thoughts were “HOW AM I GOING TO DO GODS WORK”? For years Joan has been asking me WHO is going to taker over Friar Suppliers. I’ve always said God will provide someone.

The day the Doctor said no driving was a Friday and we always pray the rosary with our rosary group of over 35 years. I went. I cried. I didn’t know what to do or say. But God immediately answered my prayers and made me feel a little better. 2 people in my rosary said they would help. I’m just going to ask that you pray for me. Pray I don’t get so depressed and that OUR work gets done. I know its not MY WORK. Every month I go to 27 different Parish Outreaches and pick up food and load it into barrels. Every 2 weeks we ship 13 55 gallon barrels of food to Haiti. It’s a HUGE job. I didn’t think that ANYONE would want to do this on a regular basis but I’m wrong. God provided.

PEANUT BUTTER PROGRAM-Our peanut butter program is going extremely well thanks to all the donors. On December 21 84 barrels of food was received in Haiti. Over 200 jars of peanut butter were in those barrels. God is so good! I couldn’t of asked for anything more. The kids are so thankful you have no idea! They pray for “all the people” each day because they know its you that are paying for this program. They look forward to the daily sandwich. For some it’s the only thing they get to eat for the day! So you are making a difference.

On Valentine’s day at about 4 pm 2 cars pulled in my driveway. They had not called me but it seems Maria Regina Faith Formation did a collection of peanut butter with all the 7th and 8th grade students. They collected 405 jars of peanut butter. This was immense. So the following Tuesday I called Faith Formation and thanked the leader personally. I asked her permission to use her name in a letter that we wrote to 90 other Faith Formation programs in my Diocese. She said sure. At 1 pm that day I had 2 people at my house, Ann Marie and Dennis. We hand addressed all 90 letters and enclosed the peanut butter flyer that you got last month plus the video of our missions and by 5 pm they were at the post office before they closed. If I could get 2-3 more faith formations I’d be thrilled!

ST JOSEPH HOME FOR THE TEENS- The building is underway. Donations have not been coming in as I had hoped. Of the $65,000 I’ve sent $20,000 so far and need another $45,000 to complete it. I'd like to send another $20,000 in April so maybe you can help. I want to get the kids off the street. I’m still hoping to have it up and running by this coming June 2026.
