Begging Letters

Its been a fewcweeks since I have been able to help. I have been traveling or recuperating. Finally got to drive today after 6 weeks. Charlie can relate! One of the first things I did? Go to Charlie's.

Dennis, Charlie and I worked on "begging" letters. Charlie writes the letters and Dennis and I got them ready for mailing. Here are the 3 types we worked on today:

1) We mailed letters to 70 Parish Outreach programs explaining the Haiti Mission and requesting thier expired food, peanut butter and incontinence supplies.

2) 120 letters to pastors of Parishes in NYC and Queens asking for support feeding the poor. In a dream to Charlie, Fr. Groeschel specifically addresses the priests he formed during his 40 years at St. Joseph's Seminary aka Dunwoodie.

3) Thank yous to 9 very generous donors for support of the Peanut Butter Program and of course to beg for continued support.

Many things about working with Charlie amaze me. Today I was humbled by his openness to do anything to feed the poor. With St. Joseph and Fr. Groeschel at your side, I guess you can't say no.
