2025 Fundraising Projects

1) PB and JELLY SANDWICHES

Currently we are giving just peanut butter sandwiches out every morning to 225 students at Our Lady of Fatima School. Not every child gets a sandwich every day-. There are 750 kids in the school. I’m going to give 2 options:

Option A: To feed 500 children this is what I need:

BREAD- $1,800

JUICE AND WATER $700

PEANUT BUTTER $300

We hire 3 young teens at $50 per month and they work Monday to Friday. They start at 6 am and finish at 10am. We have 1 young lady, Jeanette who is a friend of mine to oversee the program and work with the kids. She will be paid $100 per month., I know her well!

In our management program we have 3 men, JUNIOR, ARISTEDE and PIERRE. They will work each day.

TOTAL COST FOR THIS PROGRAM IS $3,050 per month or $36,600 per year. It could even be sponsored by 3 or 4 families. Thia is a necessary program. We have added juice to this program because the kids say that the peanut butter sticks to the roof of there mouth! Friar Suppliers owns the bakery where the bread is made so we get a discounted price on the bread. Each sandwich is 10 inches long and only cost 18 cents.

Option B: TO FEED 750 CHILDREN

BREAD $2,700

Juice and water $800

Peanut butter $500

WE DO NOT NEED ADDITIONAL WORKERS TO MAKE THIS WORK.

TOTAL COST PER MONTH IS $4,250 or $51,000 per year. If we could get 5-6 families to contribute this could work. In this case EVERY KID in the School would get BREAKFAST EVERY DAY before stating school and there belly would have something in it!

2. SUMMER VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL FOR ORPHANS

In Rivere Friode where we work there are almost 400 orphans. For the month of JULY AND AUGUST we will have the kids gather each day at 10am. First they will go to MASS- my requirement, then they will have a religion lesson based on the Gospel of the day, they will get lunch . After Lunch they can do a sport program usually soccer because that’s there favorite game or arts and craft program. In the barrels that arrived I had sdnt hundreds of arts and craft supplies so they can have fun with these. We will have 5 groups of 80. In Haiti I already have 400 tea shirts so there is no need to buy these again. The leaders are volunteering there time for the summer. Br Wilfred PFST will be in charge of this program. SO THE ENTIRE COST FOR THIS PROGRAM IS ONLY $4,000 for the summer. Because the Program has to start July 1 I stepped out in Faith and have sent the money. So please help me!

3) BLIND FAMILES

Almost 20 years ago I met my first blind family in Hatui. My heart just melted. For about 15 years I gave them food each month asking nothing in return. Then I had a dream that I should change things around. Currently we have 78 people who are blind that come every Wednesday to pray the rosary. They have a sighted leader that checks them in and takes care of them. 5 years ago I decided that in order to receive food for free they had to send a SIGHT MEMBER once a month and they do a 5 hour work project. Usually it cleaning the river or repairing the road or weeding in our garden. After they are done we give each family a 50lb bag of rice. I have not added any people to our program in years because of the cost.

The last time I was in Haiti I say a building that said CUBAN HOSPITAL FOR THE BLIND. I was intrigued so I went inside and talked to them for about 3 hoursa, it turns out that anyone living in Haiti can go into this clinic FOR FREE and gave their eyes examen. For most people its just GLAUCOMA. GLAUCOMA can be cured with simple surgery but then they need special eyedrops that they must use for the rest of their lives. So we started bringing out blind members one a month to this clinic and their eyes looked. The result is really good and success rate is high. The special eye drops $15.00 per month per person but if I buy 30 boxes the price goes down to $10.00 per box—super cheap and you get your EYESITE BACK. Each month I have send $2500 for the food and the drops. So I’m looking for a family or 2 to donate the $30,000 to let BLIND FAMILIES EAT, be seen by a doctor and get the medicine. Isnt a person eyesight worth $2500 per month!

So in closing I’m asking you to ask St Joseph if he wants you to help bwith any of these programs. If you choose one or two I would like you to be committed for a year- yes 12 months! Any if you see that after 10 months you can’t do it anymore I understand BUT you bended to Call me IMMEDIATELY because I’m responsible for sending the money on the 20th of each month. Oncer started these people TOTALLY RELY ON ME!!! And ST JOSEPH. I can tell you that my friends in Haiti pray for us constantly.
